If you think you are seeing more spam messages recently (early November 2011), you are probably not imagining it. AcceptIO server statistics show that we have been processing about twice as much email most days since mid-October compared to the number we normally handle. We can tell from our own mailboxes that most of the increase is from spam.

UPDATE:  As of about the end of November 2011, spam numbers have returned to previous levels.  Our suspicion is that some major botnet has been taken down, but we don't have anything specific to point to.
